Inspired by the Holy Spirit to lead a worship session, singer Nathaniel Bassey has started a 30-day midnight livestream session challenge that is called as the “Hallelujah Challenge”.
During an interview conducted by Entertainment News broadcasted on Channel Television, he admitted that God has given him the inspiration in the form of the Holy Spirit, giving him the sense to give praises using the talents that were given to him. As a singer, he thought of no better way to show off his appreciation than using midnight music with worship theme on Instagram.
According to him, in the month of June, the worship challenge was based on 16:25-26 and the Hallelujah way of praise is perfect.
The Hallelujah Challenge has spread dramatically in social media, gathering the attention of various A-list celebrities such as Funke Akindele, Tiwa Savage, Rita Dominic, Don Jazzy and D’banj. These and more have instantly joined the campaign. With the attention of famous celebrities and influencers, the challenge had drawn incredible attention from all over the world.
Nathaniel Bassey couldn’t contain his gratitude and appreciation to the people who have participated in the challenge.
The last midnight session had recorder more than 70,000 people and the number keeps on rising every day. Over 90,000 have joined via Facebook accounts as well.
Though the challenge has gathered a lot of participants, there are still critics who think that it is just another publicity scheme for celebrities. But the singer is not bothered by the criticism as he believes that nothing on Earth exists without it and that the gospel has long been criticized. The Hallelujah Challenge livestream session of prayer and worship has started on June 1 on Instagram.
