The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Kpotum Idris, has relieved CP Fatai Owoseni of his post as the Lagos State Commissioner of Police.
Owoseni has been replaced with Edgar Imohimi.
Imohimi was promoted to the position of Deputy Commissioner of Police in June this year, while Chief Superintendents of Police Hope Okafor, Muyideen Obe, Bunmi Ogedengbe and Lawal Adebowale were promoted to Assistant Commissioners Police.
Earlier this month, Imohimi led the operation which saw the Baale of Ipakodo in Ikorodu, Lagos arrested after the gruesome murder of four family members at Ibeshe, Ikorodu.
The Command also discovered a shrine and graves in the area, believed to be the domain of the dreaded Badoo cult group.
Imohimi will now take charge of the Lagos State Police Headquarters.
