Lateef Raji, former Special Adviser on Information and Strategy under the administration of former Governor Babatunde Fashola has passed away.
Raji was said to have passed on around 4,00am on Monday.
Late Raji was appointed a commissioner of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission, LASIEC, by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, a position he held until he died.
Raji will be buried in his hometown in Idoani, Ondo State later on Monday according to Muslim rites.
The former special adviser had reportedly been suffering from cancer of the throat for a long time, a disease that kept him from functioning for several months during Fashola administration.
