According to reports, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has relieved all his Special Advisers of their appointments.
This was announced in a statement by Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, however, the Special Adviser on Religious Affairs, Bishop Winston Iwo retained his post.
The governor had earlier sacked all his commissioners on July 24 and he is yet to reconstitute a new cabinet.
With this latest development, the governor can best be said to be running the executive arm of government with purely career civil servants without partisan politicians.
