Players of Niger Tornadoes will be back playing in the memorial stadium in Minna this coming August. It has been long since the players have played in their home ground. The stadium of Bako Kontagora has undergone some renovation and has now a new look and the players will be playing their last four games in this stadium. At present time, the Tornadoes are having their games at Lokoja.
Yabagi Baba, 1st Vice chairman has made a visit at the newly renovated stadium together with the team of the FA state. He further said that he is delighted with the work that has been done because the said renovation is already about eighty percent. He also express his gratitude to the contractor’s effort of making the stadium ready for the next matches because they really wanted to use the said stadium as soon as possible. He also send a challenge to the contractors who handles the job to make sure that the unfinished part of the stadium will be finished as quickly as possible.
This is in line with the excitement of the Tornadoes fans as they can’t contain their excitement seeing their favourite players play in their home ground. When Niger Tornadoes had their matches played in other place, some supporters grieve because they wasn’t able to watch their game and they believe that this will affect their players way of playing since there will be no crowd cheering for them. The people of Minna have been missing them badly especially they can’t see the steaming actions happening when it comes to watching their favourite players.
Baba further reinstated that fans will no longer have to wait because he will make sure that the game will happen in the said stadium and he also announced to the reporters that after the checks that he have done, it is really ready for the next match and he was so happy and contented with the works that have been done right now.
